Chapter 3, Prologue (3)

Dark Small Medium Large Original Scroll to Bottom

As he spoke, Andrew bent down and heavily slapped Huang on the head, causing a white shadow identical to Huang to instantly appear above him. The shadow floated quietly, staring blankly at the sky, seemingly unaware of who it was or why it was there. Meanwhile, Huang's neck lay limply to the side on the ground, clearly lifeless.

The young gentleman was unfazed by Huang's harsh words; instead, he smiled and said, "Oh dear Huang, it is not my intention to belittle your status. With your base soul, it is absolutely impossible to expect my master to come in person. If it were Lin Tao, I believe my master's master would come personally!" After saying this, he elegantly tapped his civilized cane lightly against Lin Tao beside him.

This Andrew... the wolf had been able to move since Andrew appeared, but he chose to quietly observe from the side without making a move. Who would have thought that as soon as he opened his mouth to speak, he was met with a scolding from the enraged Andrew

"Ah, the scent of the soul of the corpse collector is truly delightful, and the power is quite formidable! However, that filthy 'skinner' has a rather inferior scent!" Andrew tilted his head back, his face full of enjoyment, then slowly turned around to the barely breathing Huang, who was lying on the ground, and said with a grin: "I have completed the task you requested, and now it is time to set off. Let us have a good time on the road to the underworld!"

"An De Lu! Even if I have to chase you into hell, I will never let you go!" Lin Tao's eyes widened in anger, the veins on his forehead bulging, clearly indicating how serious and resolute he was in making this statement

Huang Zeng once joked that if Lin Tao could not repay his feelings in this lifetime, then he would continue to do so in the next. Now, a good brother has departed, and he has used his own soul to settle all the debts of gratitude.

I... I didn't mean to, please don't kill me... Ah..." The wolf's words were not finished, but Andrew had already lost patience to listen any longer. He leaned in close to the wolf's mouth and took a deep breath, inhaling two visible wisps of white smoke into his nostrils. The two wisps of smoke faintly coalesced into two figures, one resembling a wolf, while the other remained indistinct. Not far away, the four little skinners, upon witnessing this scene, were already frightened and scattered in all directions. However, it seemed that Andrew was too lazy to pursue them.

As soon as he emerged, he stretched widely, leisurely glanced around, and said: "Oh, everyone, I didn't expect we would meet again so soon. It has only been five years since our last encounter. What? Have you all missed me so quickly?"

Andrew leisurely dragged the yellow soul towards the pile of hellfire. Upon hearing Lin Tao's hysterical roar, he turned back and smiled coldly: "Is that so? When I find your true self, Rashul, I will definitely convey this message to him"

The forest has once again regained its original silence and appearance, devoid of that ghastly green glow, as if all of this were merely a dream that had never occurred...

The last sentence was almost spat out by Andrew through gritted teeth, and after he finished speaking, his face began to slowly decay, with his skin gradually drying and shriveling. The once suave and dashing handsome man transformed in an instant into a terrifying zombie that would make anyone who glanced at him feel a pang of horror.

Although Lin Tao spat out a mouthful of blood, he could not stop his reckless laughter. Meanwhile, Andrew's facial muscles twisted violently, and suddenly he could no longer contain himself. He slammed the scepter of civilization in his hand forcefully onto the ground, half of it embedding into the soil. Ignoring any semblance of gentlemanly conduct, he cursed loudly: "You damned human pig! If it weren't for you, I, Lord Andrew, would only need to borrow a shell to enter your world, and I wouldn't even be able to unleash two-tenths of my power. Otherwise, there would be no room for you, this pig, to be so arrogant. Just wait, kid. Even if I am summoned by Huang today and cannot kill you, rest assured, it won't be long before my true self descends upon this world. At that time, I will slowly extract your soul to torment you, making you and your true self, Rashuel, perish together. Hahaha..."

Seeing Andrew transformed like this, Lin Tao was not the least bit afraid; instead, he mockingly said: "Yes, yes, just like this, this is your true face, the ugly devil!"

From the eerie hellfire, a figure gradually emerged, not the imagined demon with bat wings, nor the bull-headed monster wielding a giant axe, but rather a handsome British gentleman holding a staff of civilization, dressed in a sharp, high-end suit, and sporting a slicked-back hairstyle. However, the gentleman's complexion was extremely pale, so pale that it was almost as terrifying as paper.

At this moment, Lin Tao was already in tears. How he wished to rush forward and rescue Huang's soul, even if it meant he could not be revived, it would still be better than letting him remain in hell for eternity. However, he was unable to do so, as his body simply would not allow it. The fact that he was still conscious and had not fainted was already a miracle. The only thing he could do at this moment was to bite his lower lip tightly to prevent himself from crying out.

"How dare you call me Andrew? In hell, no one dares to address me by my name except my master, do you understand? No one dares, you wretched bug!" Andrew suddenly raised his right hand, forming a claw in mid-air, and the wolf was drawn towards him without any resistance, its thick neck once again firmly grasped by someone, kicking its legs helplessly in the air like a child

Finally, I can come up for a breath! I really want to come over for a vacation

Lin Tao extended a middle finger towards the young gentleman and forced a laugh, saying: "Hehe~ Poor Andrew, I miss you. Do you still want me to kick you back to that damned hell of yours this time? And why aren't you wearing that old white suit? It was so stylish. Oh, I know, the reason you’re not wearing it must be because there’s a big footprint of mine on the back, and hell can't wash it away, right? Haha... cough... haha..."

At this moment, Huang's face was even more pallid, as if all the marrow had been drained from his bones. Yet, with a stubborn defiance, he spat out a mouthful of blood and weakly cursed, "Go to hell, who wants you? I summoned your master, not you, you dog!"

The relationship between Huang and Lin Tao can be described as extraordinary. In a specialized team of only a dozen members, they are the only two Chinese individuals. Huang is not only a good brother to Lin Tao but also a mentor and friend. Being from the same country, they share an unspoken bond, discussing everything without reservation. Lin Tao has saved Huang's life more than once, and Huang has reciprocated Lin Tao's life-saving kindness with his own body covered in scars.

"Who gave you the audacity to call me that? Huh? You filthy, lowly 'skinner' dare to address me by name, tell me, who gave you the courage!" Andrew, like a wronged woman in a secluded chamber, immediately unleashed all his fury. Fortunately, the devil has no saliva; otherwise, the wolf might have been drowned in it.

Having spoken, Andrew slowly dragged the yellow soul into the green hellfire, and the ever-rising hellfire also vanished with Andrew's disappearance
